i have a 37 gallon tank. i am using the eclipse hood for a filter and im getting a prizm skimmer in the mail sometime before friday. i have 20 lbs of LR and about 2-3 inches of LS. right now i have a royal gramma and a blue spotted watchman goby. i know that i will want to add a flame angel. but ive read that youre not supposed to add a flame angel until your tanks been up for 6 months, is this true? also if i wanted to put a bicolor blenny in there would it be overstocked?

hi there,
With what you want tp put in tank right now..no it wont be overstocked. Yes i would wait to introduce the Flame Angel. You are better off waiting for tank to be well established first. First thing i would do is to get rid of the Eclipse system. I have heard nothing but bad news about them for saltwater tanks. After tank is stable with good water quality for about 6 months is a good wait time.

the only things that i have heard negative aobut the eclipse is with the lighting system. since i wont be keeping corals that shouldnt really be a problem, cause my LR is doing great. thank you for the advice.

For whatever it's worth, my brother is a marine biologist and runs a small SW FO system in an Eclipse.

I would wait at least 6 months before you add the flame. I don't want to scare you off on the flame, but they can be a problem, you might want to do a search on them. I had mine for about 8 months and doing very well then one day just stoped eatting and next thing I know it is dead. I know I have read other stories like that one, and I have also heard of people haveing them for many years. Just thought I would let you know . Good Luck
