My tank is a 90 gal. I have a sea goblin in quarentine waiting for a couple wks to go in. I am working on making my stocklist while I wait. We were thinking of a
Powder blue tang,
Dog face puffer,
Black v lion,
some kind of eel,
some kind of butterfly,
opinions please.

As mentioned in my other post to you. Until this goblin is weaned either keep it in quarantine or dont add new fish. Any of the new fish you list will out eat and out swim your goblin for any food.
Thats said, your list in a 90gal tank is good- but too many fish- both the P volitans and puffer will push the tank to is max capacity in 1 yr.
As for eels you will have to consider a pebbletoothed eel(SFE, zebra, chainlink, skeletor), or a smaller fisheater(g milaris), else many of your fish might become food.
I had no problem keeping tangs, harlequin tusks, large wrasses in w/ the goblin. I would skip butterflies, angelfish, puffers and triggers w/ both the lion and the goblin. As these fish tend to either graze on rockwork, and hence they pick on the skin and dermal papillae of your goblin think its algae. Worse puffers and triggers will attack the showy fins of scorpionfish, esp lionfish

Thank you for the post. I will definatly put into consideration everything you said. Butterflies are out then. The eel we were thinking was maybe the undulated (probably spelled it wrong)lol. Would he be safe? The lion is in question at this point due to the fact we are worried about the bio load of to many carnivores. So what are some nice pretty fish we can put in that are also hardy?
