Storing Chemi-Pure after use

Just out of curiousity, how do you clean and store your chemi-pure after each use, or do you? I only use it a couple days of the week and up till now have thrown it away after 2-3 uses. Its starting to get expensive at $9.00 a shot so I thought about long term use, ie, use it 2 days, rinse with RO/DI water, store it in the original container, then continue this method for longer periods(1-6 months as stated on container).

I have stored mine in a zip lock bag, but I would rinse it in water from my tank, but I am sure that rinseing it in di water would work. I have kept mine for six months this way before I would replace it. Good Luck
