Storing saltwater

Is it ok to store already mixed slatwater in a sealed contianer before use or will it become stagnant? I know that it should be circulated before putting it into the tank but could some be stored and then circulated for a day when ready to use?

That is correct, but remember, you need water circulating.

Then I guess the answer to my question is no. No biggie I've already spent a ton on this tank and I don't think throwing out a few bucks worth of water will kill me. I just won't buy the baby any food this week.......

I have stored water for weeks and weeks with no powerhead in it with no ill affects at all.Just run one for 24 hours before using the water and you will be fine.But of corse,fresh mixed is allways better...

Thanks Salty that is obviously the norm but since I spazzed out and dumped too much salt in my mix I had to add a bunch more water and wound up with way more than I needed. I guess that's what happens when you try to watch a baby and work on the tank at the same time. I guess it's a good thing I got rid of my lionfish tank
