Strange behavior

I have a striped damsel fish who has been acting strange. She sort of dives toward the bottom, comes back and does it again. At this time the first black stripes fades out. What's this about? Is she sick or something?

well id say its just a trick being played on your eyes.....but keep a look out for white spots etc....... just to be safe.

p.s. those damNselfish are crazy thats my guess on the behavior.

Fish somtimes loose their color when startled. And these fish are very teritorial. Just a guess but could there be somthing in the substrate that is spooking the fish?? Maybe he's diving at a worm or somthing that he thinks is invading his territory??????????????STEVE
