Strange puffer behavior?

Is it normal for a Puffer (valentini) to try to "buddy" up with a CBS shrimp?
My puffer has taken a fascination to my CBS...he swims up to it sideways and tries to get as close to it as possible, but always turns his side to it...never trying to bite it or anything. If I can't find my puffer he's usually with the shrimp bugging him. The shrimp doesn't know what to think, it either backs up away from the puffer or just sits there and tries to keep it away.
I'm wondering if the puffer is thinking the CBS is going to clean him or something...if so I think he better keep wishing as the shrimp wants nothing to do with him. Anyone else ever seen this before? I don't think I should be worried, but thought I'd check.

No worries.
I've actually seen my CBS clean my Yellow Watchman before... not for an extended amount of time, but he cleans him every once in a while.
Maybe you should get a Cleaner for your Puffer

I thought about that but I have a baby snowflake eel in there...and I just don't trust him!
I was already worried about the CBS as the first day I got him the eel came out and was looking at him...but he figured out he was a little too big to eat.
