I have a yellow tang that has been in my tank for over a year. In the past 3 months he started hovering over a toadstool and picking at it's crown. I know he's not bothering the coral as the polyps are out the whole time he does this. I am just wondering what he is eating off this toadstool? There is another toadstool in the tank that he completely ignors and probably 20 other types of soft and hard corals that he pays no attention to but every day there he is right above the toadstool picking at it. Would there be some kind of algae growing on this coral that I can't see with my eyes? Anyone else have a tang that does this.
