Strawberry Pseudochromis

My LFS has a great deal on a strawberry pseudo, which I understand to be the same as a purple pseudo. I really like the look of this fish, but I have read some horror stories about their agressive nature.
I'd like to hear some experiences, good or bad!
Thanks!:D

I had a purple psuedo for close to 4 years before he was taken out by a regal tang from hell (he was promptly returned to the lfs I bought him at). My psuedo was a super fish - no more aggresive than any other fish I've had. Great color, ate a variety of foods, didn't harass others - sure wish I had him back!

The fish I'm talking about is a pseudochromis porphyreus, there is also a pseudochromis fridmani, both can be referred to as "purple pseudo" Do you remember which one yours was??
Thanks!

Very Very mean......had fun removing almost two hundred pounds of rock from my reef to remove him though. I think the final count was seven fish he killed ........all larger than him. They will even bite the hand that feeds them. For it's size.....it is just a mean mean fish. Relentless in torturing other fish.

Been bitten myself by one of these little buggers. Meanest little creature that I have ever set eyes on.
I have on the other hand witnessed some Purple Psuedocromis at the LFS and other people's tanks that have been tolerable........very pretty fish but, I am not willing to chance it.

Hmmmm....
I guess these buggers have the chance of being meanies! If I got brave and tried, would my clowns or wrasse be easy targets for this guy?? This is going to be my deciding factor, I don't want these guys to be dinner!
Can anyone recccomend a fish similar in color to the pseudo, but less agressive??

I've had one for a few weeks, with two clownfish, and it has never shown hostility toward others? I guess this fish is like people...some good...some bad.
