stray voltage in my water

Ok, I have a brain-stumper here. I recently have been getting a small electical shock in my tank. I've unplugged everything and then replugged everything back to find what is leaking electricty. I have determined that it is the lights. The problem is, in no way is there any part of the cord touching water. The lights are suspended over the water (about 3-5 inches). How in the world is the voltage getting into the water?????? Also, it is very intermittent. I can put my finger in there and feel it. Sometimes more than others, and sometimes I can't feel it at all.

I also had a problem with my lights. Try plugging the lights into a different outlet than the rest of your equipment. This solved my problem.

You could also gound your tank, you could waste your money and buy a ground for like $20 or you could make one yourself for a couple bucks. run a search for DIY
