Stressed clown

Help, I've recently added a black clown to my 28 gallon tank, and all was well. Then about a week later the black clown had started to beat up my picasso clown. I took the picasso out of the tank and let him relax in a pail with water from his tank overnight, I went to my local fish shop and they suggested reintroducing the picasso back in the tank at night after rearanging the rock, so that territories would be re established. All went well for another week, then yesterday my picasso was at the bottom of the tank looking dead again, so I plopped it out of the tank and put him back in the pail. He hasn't eaten in 2 days. Later this evening I went to check on him in the pail and he's dead, so I thought, then he started swimming around again. I decided to put him back in the tank in a net so he is safe, but I'm afraid I might loose him, he's pail in color, his fins and body seem pretty beat up, and he's breathing really fast, does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get him healthy again, and hopefully get his appetite back????

ok so the first thing to do... LEAVE HIM ALONE FOR A BIT. dont stare in the tank dont try to feed him that much, just let him be for a bit. mine was like that i did that and he went back to health little by little. they are really hardy so u should be fine if ur water is good. when u finally get him to eat ONE bite LEAVE HIM. be happy he did that much and take it from there slowly. just give him alone time.
hopes this help:D

Being stressed out by the black clown, when you put him in a pail you're stressing him out more then you put him back into the tank which stressed him more then you took him out again and he's living in a net. You got some major stressing going on there.
I think and I know someone will correct me if i'm wrong but you can't keep 2 different clowns in a tank that small unless they are the same kind and even then 1 be must smaller than the other one(bigger one becomes the female).
I never had a picasso or a black clown so this is just my opinion, but I do have maroons and false percs in 2 different tanks.
You might want to post this on the new hobbiest section of this board tosee if anyone can give you some more info. HOPE THIS HELPS AND WELCOME TO THE BOARDS..
