O.K. the tank has been set up for a few months now.I have a bit of coralline algae but not alot.Normal growth i guess.I spotted 4 baby feather dusters. On the rock my Hawaiin was propped up on.I moved it and thats when i noticed them.Their real tiny and not always open. Then their is a polyp of some kind. That came in on my feather duster.Well actually a shell it was connected to.It's tiny and kinda burgundy brown looking. Most of the time it looks like a little mushroom.I noticed tonight. It almost looked closed.Kinda nubby looking??
Then i spotted something new.It must have came in on some LR i added a couple weeks ago.It is a coral or anemone of some kind.I know it's not a baby feather duster. So i'm thinking its the dreaded Aptasia.I know about the boiling water or joes juice.I do alot of reading.I just want to be sure what it is first.I would hate to kill something good KWIM??
No pics sorry. My camera is broken
If you could post pics.Maybe i could verfy my new tank inhabitants that way

If it looks like small clear anemonies, I have been told (and apparently it works) that peppermint shrim will take care of them. I have two that keep coming back, and about every three or four days, they are gone. I think I can contribute that to the shrimp. Don't take my word for it though, I am really new to the hobby, but I was told if they are kept under control, they aren't much to worry about.
