Stupid question here...

Do sharks run the same risk of catching ich as other fish? I heard that their immune systems are a little harder to beat.

I dunno but uh....my stingray survived a hefty ammonia spike with no problems. I think they're pretty easy to keep given the right conditions. A LOT easier than a reef tank

No not the same risk. The ich parasite attaches to the scales of fish. Sharks have TOUGH skin, not so much scales. They genreally do not get ich. BEWARE, sharks CANNOT tolerate copper treatment like other fish to eradicate the ich parasite. If you have ich, goto the disease forum and search for other treatments...
Good Luck!

Cool, well give me the run-down on the shark thing. In a nutshell, what are the basics? I know lots of swiming space, soft sand, some rock for shade, and that's about it now. What else should I know before I start this shark tank of mine?
