Stupid Question?

Ok, I am an amatuer aquarists and trying to learn much about a reef aquarium because I have one myself and in the processes of cycling it. But I am planning for fish and I was wondering how many clownfish I could have, could I have like 5 or 6 in my tank?

No more than 2. If you have 3+, then 2 will pair off and will kill the rest. Occasionally ocellaris clowns can get by peacefully with a pair and some juvies, but it is very uncommon.

Like Viper I would suggest no more than 2 as well, and make them the same species of clownfish. They could be the center of attention in your tank. Then you could add a couple of chromis fish and perhaps a firefish and you would be all set.
