Stupid ?, SeaTest Exp. dates.

Hey everyone,
I just picked up an established tank, and along with the tank came a Seatest kit.
This may sound stupid, but, I noticed that the little packets are expired. What effect does this have on the test? Should I just go out and buy new test packets?

This just sucks now, cause I wanted to do some tests tonight, and I won't be able to till Thursday now since the LFS is open till 9pm that night..

just to add to that...our test kit is expired...didn't really notice or care...tested water...nitrates were 160...i freaked...did wc...stressed the fish...tested water again nitrates were 180...freaked more...made sinner drive an hour to ***** (they're open till 9)...they tested water...nitrates were at 0 as was everything else...
when in doubt bring a water sample to lfs to test
