subs?

do u have to have subs for your saltwater tank? i have 15 pounds of live rock and 4 damsels in my tank right now what else do i need? i have a bio wheel filter and two power heads

what do you mean by subs? Substrates? If this is the case, substrates, such as a Deep sand bed provide filtration of your water, aesthetic appeal to your tank, and also harbor many interesting critters such as copeopods, and worms that also help to clean your tank of detritus and whatnot.
