I plan on switching from cc to sand. I'm thinking of getting Nature's Ocean ls, but not for the whole bottom since it's a little pricey. What's a good sand to go with NO's ls?

I recommend 4.5" of Seaflor special reef grade aragonite because of its grain size. Sugar sized sands are probobly too small to allow sufficient diffusion for effecient nitrate reduction to occur and may cause Hydrogen Sulfide pockets to form within the substrate. Then add a bag or 2 of NO sand.

Sorry, I got it at the LFS. But it is Caribsea so it should be easy to find in a net search.
