Just want to tell everyone that I have succesfuly removed my UGF. I cannot believe how silent my room is after I removed the UGF 
.
It was a lot of work, the visibility in my tank was zero for half an hour. For awhile it cleared up a little, then I put my fish back in. Now it's still a little cloudy but it'll be fine.
I added 4 lbs more of lr, and also about a small trash bag full of ls. Currently I have the total of 10 lbs of lr and 2 inches of ls (without UGF).
All live stock are fine, I think they're better than before. My feather duster, which used to open just a little, now opens wide. My sally lighfoot starts eating normally like when I first bought him. My little sebae is fine.
I'm just so happy to remove the UGF. I have not tested my water though. I'll let you guys know about the difference in water parameters soon.
