Today i went to my lfs and bought a spotted mandarin. He is the smallest manadarin i have ever seen but the best news is HE ATE SOME FROZEN BRINE TONIGHT AND ITS HIS FIRST NIGHT IN MY TANK. Plus he has also been picking at the live rock and live sand. I think AND hope that this will work out for the little guy. ~ryan~

that is great!!! sounds like your new addition is making a nice new comfortable home for himself. just keep a close eye on him. good luck!!! :D  :D

Do you also have a large copepod population? I would like to get a mandarin someday, but I don't think my reef is big enough (46 bowfront with 80lbs LR). I thought that although some may eat brine they will not thrive on a diet of only brine.
