Suggestion for my next fish

Ok, I have a 40 Gal Breeder Reef and currently stocked with 4 fish.
2 Occelaris Clowns
1 Yellow Watchman
1 Canary Wrasse
I would like to add just one more fish, preferably something that moves around more and provides just a bit more color. I used to have a Lemonpeel Angel and I loved it's colors. However, he was nippnig my corals to death so he had to go. I used to have a Bi-Color Blenny but he was being a bully to any inhabitants after him so he had to go too. I thought about getting a Yellowhead Jawfish again but I just don't think my measley 3 inches of substrate would keep him happy (BTW, my previous Jawfish was actually happy with with just 3 inches of sand - he passed away from an accident :( ).
I'm looking for something that swims more in the open and gets along with my current crew. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have thought about another wrasse but I wasn't sure if they would get along with my Canary. I'd be interested in a sixline...

i have a fairy wrasse, and he's quite interesting... He swims around the tank, but only when i'm not there. I have to watch him from a distance. When i go near the tank, he hides behind the rocks, and i see him every minute or so, peaking through a hole in the LR to see if i'm still there... lol.
Royal grammas can be kinda agressive, but i think they're beautiful!
What about a firefish?

Here's my list of inverts I forgot to add:
1 White Tuxedo Urchin
1 Peppermint Shrimp
2 Cleaner Shrimp
3 Sauron Shrimp
No Starfish
Countless hermits and snails
Royal Grammas are alright, I have just seen to many of them hide or stay way too stationary. I appreciate the suggestion though.

I've also thought about Firefish. I like them and I think they're really cool. However, I've also seen them hide a lot, just like the Grammas. I guess it's a hit or miss for personality-wise.

it's really going to be like that with any fish... i have a black & white heniochus, and he's the only one that stays out in the open all the time... but they require a 100+ tank...

What about a Sixline Wrasse? I'd be worried about compatibility issues with my other wrasse though...

The Six Line Wrasse is also referred to as the Sixline Wrasse or Sixstripe Wrasse. It has six, horizontal distinctive blue lines lying against an orange background. When courting, the male will display an increased color intensity.
It requires a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with a generous supply of hiding places and live rock in which to forage for food. It may act aggressively towards peaceful Wrasses and other fish that are easily intimidated.
It will search for live foods in the form of small crustaceans such as pyramidellid snails (clam parasites), urchins, and commensal flatworms. Six Line Wrasse are also known to feed on unwanted pests on live rock, such as bristleworms.
When first introduced into the aquarium, live saltwater feeder shrimp should be used to entice this fish to eat. The diet should consist of finely chopped meaty foods and occasionally vitamin-enriched frozen preparations.
The Yellow Wrasse is also referred to as the Golden Rainbowfish, Golden Wrasse, Yellow Coris, or Canary Wrasse. It is golden-yellow with a black eyespot on the dorsal fin.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with a sealed lid, a 2-3 inch sandy bottom to hide under when frightened, and other peaceful Wrasses, including its own species, provides a good environment. It will eat fireworms and pyramidellid snails, protecting corals and clams. In addition, it may eat feather dusters, wild shrimp, tubeworms, and flatworms. It may also eat parasites off of tank mates.
Regular feedings should include a variety of prepared and live meaty foods, such as feeder shrimps, flaked foods, and marine fish.
Since the canary wrasse is a peaceful wrasse, i'd personally not put in a sixline, as they can be agressive toward other peaceful wrasses... especially with only a 40 gallon... if you had a 55 or 75 gallon, i'd say you could experiment, but with such a small tank, i personally wouldn't risk it...
You could try it, just keep a close eye for any agression or bullying...

Just because one site says that doesnt mean its right. My neighbor kept several over the years and he has NEVER had an aggression issue. Jumping issues, yes, but never any aggresion issues. BTW, delete your post, it states another company which is against the rules.

I've heard of Sixline being a little aggressive, especially towards inverts.
I don't necessarily have to have a Sixline. However, the fish I'm looking for should behave like the Sixline, less the aggressiveness.

i strongly suggest against the mandarin, unless you have an unlimited supply of pods...

I would love to have a Mandarin but I'm against cruelty to animals :) I'd ONLY get a Mandarin if I have witnessed it eat frozen foods and survived for many months. Usually if you see a Mandarin like that, they're not for sale or already have a home.

Hiya,
I had one coral beauty that picked on feather dusters until they left their tube. I lost that one, don't know how. Couldn't stand not having one in my tank so I got another one. So far so good.

I know what you mean about the Angel love there. I would really love to get another Lemonpeel Angel but I know it would totally ---- my corals and I can't have that.
