Hi- just getting my 16 gallon back up and running. I am trying to go nano reef here, a little at a time of course.
So far I have mostly small frag type stuff and a large taodstool leather. I have started to frag my shrooms so I can make a nice multi-rock one day. Anyway, I would love some suggestions for corals that would be happy mid tank with a higher flow rate. I have Current USA Dual Satellite for lighting giving me about 4 watts per gallon if I remember correctly. Hope I am not making that last bit up....... :notsure: - guess I need to check my wattage. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions would be graetly appreciated. Sorry about the pic quality, I am new with the digital camera.

I also am wondering if you all added your corals to rock already in your tank or if you added pieces of rock that were attached to coral and built up your tank that way. Not sure which way to go. I also lost a lot of coraline algae on my rock while my tank was down (no lights on the rock)- I had read some where to scrape off some algae onto the rock and that it will 'seed'- does this really work or should I just be patient and keep dosing that B-Ionic?

as for your rock question id say add enough live rock for your likeing and when you get coral just try and fit them in

Good Luck

Thanks. I love the frogspawn but I always thought they were difficult to keep. So glad to hear they are not! :joy:

I feel like I have flow issures though. Between the filter output, the skimmer output and my power heads it seems that most of my tank is medium to high flow. How tolerant are most corals of a slightly higher than prefered flow?

My frogspawn HATES high flow and it wont open all the way so i would try to place it in a low flow area

Hmmm.....thanks for that info. I think I need to read through the SWF corals list and try to fins some high flow loving corals. Maybe some star poylps to start.
