I don't mean to keep starting threads that sound repetitive, I simply cannot make up my mind about what to do with my aquarium.... Maybe some suggestions could help me make up my mind. Here's my setup, 75 gallon bow front, 120 LBS of LR, 100 LBS of LS, 48" Nova Extreme T-5 fixture.
Should I do reef safe fish with corals, and inverts?? The thing is that I really like Eels, are there any Eel's that will not eat shrimp, snails, or crabs?? If I had an Eel are there any inverts that the Eel would not eat?? So that way I have some kind of clean up crew. Would a puffer, such as a Blue Spotted Hawaiian Puffer, be okay with corals?? I just can't make up my mind!! Thank you for the suggestions.. Happy Holiday's!

I prefer reef tanks, I find the corals and the abundance of life on the liverock more interesting than watching fish swim back and forth. As for eels in a reef tank you can do it but you need to be selective on the type of invertabrates you add and watch your water quality. Snails and hermit crabs are generally okay as long as you feed the eel on a regular basis, I never had my snowflake eel kill any snails or hermits not sure if that is the norm or not, but ornamental shrimp and crabs would definetly be lunch. All eels are preditors so whichever one you get will either eat inverts or fish or both. I don't know of any reef safe puffers so I would skip them if you want to keep coral.
