Suggestions

I just setup my second tank. It is a 90 gallon tank and I want to make it a semi aggressive tank. I already have my 120 gallon tank with all the finding nemo characters in it and now I feel the need for a little aggression but not too much. lol
I have three fish in there now and I'm looking for a few more fish to add. Here is what I have so far.
Harlequin Tusk
Banana Wrasse
And the third I forgot the name just got it on Friday it is some sort of wrasse and is green and white the markings are amazing. I was told by my fish store that it would be fine with my two other fish.
When I asked them for questions they suggested a Rainbow puffer I have searched every where and cannot find this fish. I also suggested a clown trigger but have been reading a few scary stories on here tonight about them.
But I do know I want a puffer of some sort and possibly a lion fish. I also love the looks of a clown trigger and would probably want some sort of trigger.
So maybe you guys and gals can help me out? I will try to take a picture of the green fish tomorrow and post it. Funny thing about him when I introduced him into my tank I thought he got out somehow or something happened right away because I did not see him for 3 days. But when I went down today he was swimming away looking for food.

Sorry to say a 90 Gallon is too small for most of the aggressives. Even though it seems like a lot, the 90 gallon footprint isn't much larger then a 55 gallon. They are both only 4' long which makes it difficult to provide proper swimming space for any larger predator fish. You should stick with the smaller predators(Dwarf Lions, Toby Puffers, Small Angels, and Large Clowns) and maybe an Eel or Blenny.

I think a Blue Throat Trigger and a Dogface Puffer would work for a while. But both of these, as well as some of your other wish will outgrow the 90gal. But the blue throat and puffer will be ok for a year or so if you buy them small.

Why buy a fish that needs to be replaced in a year though? A lot can happen in a year. Unless you already have an upszied tank in the works, then buy fish that are suited for the tank.

I don't know, I see a lot of people do that on other forums. They buy a small fish, then when it outgrows the tank, they trade it in. Nothing wrong with doing that I guess. I have a few fish like that myself that I know I'll have to trade in when they get too big. Both the queen angel and naso will outgrow my 150. Might not be for a few years, but eventually they will. Plus a show size queen or naso, sell for way more than a juvi, so I can get a good trade in deal.

Ya I understand that --, I was just saying a year is kind of short time frame for something like that. Unless you can house a fish for several years in you're current tank I dont see it being worth getting.

Yea I really have no big feelings for a fish. I do like them and love to see them grow and be healthy but I can trade a fish in after a year no problems.

Yes, but what will probably happen is you're going to have the fish and think 'oh they seem fine' until they are way too big for your tank which will lead to increased aggression and possible bioload issues(not even counting the actual stress on the fish from being in a tank too small). So I don't even recommend fish too big as I think most people are too lazy or procrastinate too much to take care of things before its a problem.
