Sump almost complete

My sump is now put together. Chamber 1 is the overflow from the tank and the return from the protein skimmer and UV also the heater. Chamber 2 is where I'm going to have my macro algae. Chamber 3 is 2 pumps. One for the protein skimmer and UV and one return to the main tank.
What do I put in chamber 2? live sand (I have plenty of this in my other tank I can salvage) or mud which they sell for like $20/lb. Other than a few crabs and snails I was not planning anything else in chamber 2.
Did I get it wright?

you got everything right except for your spelling of "right" haha, jk. As for sand or mud, the mud is expensive but is nice because it leaches nutrients into the water like iodine and others. A deep sand bed is a great alternative, i personaly have about an inch of mud then sand on top of that, has always worked great for me. But just a deep sand bed can accomplish alot also
I usualy keep snails and hermits out of my sump due to the pain of keeping them from jumping the walls and going to other sections of the sump.

I dont think you need the mud at all, because youre using good live sand from established tank.
Also, what about the Cheato???
