IM hoping someone can help me out.
I have a sump and over box. its work really well . Heres the thing today A friend of mine gave me all her equipment.
She a a larger sump with its own over flow box. I thought Id hook it up as well because more filter more flow and I was able to put a skimmer in the new sump.
The problem is this I can't keep them both running one stalls and floods while the other pumps all the water out. Ive tryed and tryed to adjust the boxs . What ever I do one floods while the other empties..
Can you have two sumps or not?? DO I have to have a dual over flow box or can I use one for each sump??
IM stuck

What Shawn sez...the thing you need to remember is that the flow OUT of the DT is controlled by the amount of flow BACK to the DT. I'm guessing your issue is that your return pumps aren't properly matched (meaning close to the same flow rating) to each other (assuming the O/F's are similarly rated), so the "hotter" pump is emptying the sump, while the other is not keeping up.
Try restricting the "hotter" pump with a valve to test this. That being said, if this seems to work, I recommend bleeding flow back into the sump rather than restricting the pump like this, unless you know the pump in question can be restricted with no harm to the pump:
