Sump design help

I have finally received my Coralife super skimmer for my 29 gal DT, long story short, there is no way I want that huge thing as a HOB on my DT. Now I need to build a sump. I have space for up to a 20 gallon sump tank below in my stand. I just started doing research on how to build/plumb it. THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS OF DOING IT!!!! I am really confused now. Questions:
1. I thought I would just need two pumps, one to take water out of the DT, and one to return it. It is better to have an overflow box on the back of the DT? Any simple ways to create an overflow box?
2. What do you use to create baffles between chambers in the sump?
3. What is the simplest way of creating a sump?
4. What adhesive compounds are safe to use for the plumbing?
Thank you for your help!

1. you dont need a pump to get water out of your dt... you need to set up an overflow, probably the syphon type since the tank is already set up and you cant drill it...
2. glass or acrylic... what ever sump is made out of...
3. i think the 3 chamber ones are the easiest... im in the process of making an acrylic one right now...
4. i think you just use the regular pvc cement for the plumbing
