Sump/Fuge/ Canister ?

I have heard that there is a way to set up a canister filter to act like a fuge, by putting live rock in the canister. I don't have enough room for a fuge/sump, so I am looking for and alternative solution. Has any body had any experience with the HOB fuges? How well do they work? My tank is a 50 gallon corner tank. Any advice is appreciated.

Can't put LR in a canister, no light for the corraline. However, you can put LR in your sump. I've never tried a HOB fuge before, but it may work well for you. You could fill it with some mineral mud, some mangroves, some LR, might be pretty sweet. Just don't forget to light it!

I just got the All Glass 54 corner tank. I think a 15 gal tall tank will fit just under it (20x10x18). I'm trying to find one myself to make a fuge out of it.
