sump/fuge question

If I was going to build a sump/fuge for a 105 FOWLR would a 20 gallon long be large enough or should I try and squeeze a 29 gallon underneath?

as you probably know, "the bigger the better"...
the 20 should be fine... but the 29 would be better...
just make sure you have enough clearence to work under there.... plumbing, adjustments, protein skimmer collection cup access, etc...

yeah thanks Chuck I havent bought the tank or stand yet so I am going to have to do some figuring. want to do an in sump skimmer do you recommend any?

your best bet would be to determine how much 'realestate' you have available for the skimmer in the sump...
i decided to use the AquaC Urchin because it is streamlined enough to fit in the area i have... the skimmer section i designed is only 7"W x8.5"D x 10" tall - because i wanted to maximize my refugium...
Aqua C is a good brand name that has been reccomended to me on numerous occasions... the EV series gets great reviews also...
