Hi there all, sorry to pester you with questions, i just got my sump up and running last night, and im already getting worried, last night the water level was only to the bottom of the white grating, now when i got home from work its way higher (see pic) Is my pump not giving out water fast enough as its being sucked in? what can i do? :( Any adivice would be awsome!!

You need to raise your overflow box so the water does not flow into the sump as fast. Likewise, you can lower it to make more water go into your sump. Raise and lower it until the water level stabilizes at the point you want.

Not sure about raising the overflow box but you shouldn't put a control valve on the inlet - only on the output to regulate the exit flow.
You may need to get a higher output pump.

isnt there supposed to be a sponge on the overflow tube going to the sump? I believe if you put that on there you should be ok. When the gallons per hour of a overflow are calculated they are including the sponge pre-filter. That little sponge definitly makes a difference. Also the sponge will quiet the overflow......just my .02
