Sump Only, Are Baffles Needed?

Hi, I'm planning on doing a sump only under my reef tank and using a euro reef CS5-2 skimmer in there. I see many people add baffles to make sump/refugium but since I'm only making this a sump only without a refugium, are baffles necesarry? Any comments would be appreciated, thanks.

I have no bubbles exit from my ER skimmer. You probably don't need baffles with that skimmer.
