Sump plans

I am soon to have my new 128 gal. Oceanic RR. I plan to have a 55 gal. sump/fuge and wanted some input.
I plan to devide the sump into three sections:
1) Refugium w/ live sand, rock rubble and macro.
2) chamber for protein skimmer, heater, etc.
3) chamber for return pumps (probably two Mag 9's)
I think I will have the overflows dump into the skimmer chamber, and a Y off of one of the return pumps with a ball valve to feed the refugium.
What do you think?
Thanks for the input.

i dont know anything about setups, but i have a question for you. i have the oceanic 180 rr and i dont have room for that under my stand, so where do you have room for that when you have a tank smaller than mine?

Sounds like you've got it covered.
I might consider making a 4th chamber as a dedicated area for the overflows to drain down into. You'll most likely have some turbulance in this chamber, and a couple baffles prior to the water reaching the skimmer area may be something to think about.
I would hesitate dumping your overflow drains down into the skimmer chamber for this reason. Your skimmer pump may suck in some bubbles, could get noisy and a lot of air bubbles can be rough on some pumps.
Other than that - I'm just guessing.
I've never set up a 55 gallon sump/refugium before.
Sure sounds fun though :)
Have a blast with your new 128 when you get it.
And post some pics if you can - as you know - we all love pics !

My skimmer will be in the sump, and I will have no other filters down there. That will leave 12" of free space for other stuff.
