Sump Plumbing

What kind of plumbing for a sump do most of you use? Is PVC pipe easier or do people use vinyl tubing as well?

i use flexible tubingbut i would not say it is easier or harder than hard piping that i use at work

i have flexi pipe for the overflows, and PVC for the returns, no clue why (my dad did the plumbing)

Is flexible tubing like the hose on a vaccume cleaner? Can I get this at a hardware store?

yes you can get it at a hard ware store, its clear with like a mesh looking stuff coating the inside

I use PVC connected to flex hose for the drains and vinyl tubeing on the returns.

I used the hard PVC, people say it is quieter i.e. less vibration from return pumps and such. I am satisfied with it, it did take me quit a while to plumb it though because of all the cuts, you have to be a lil more precise with hard PVC!!!!!

. Do you have to some how seal the pipes/tubing together or can they just screw on together?

They dont screw together. you have to PVC cement them together! All of that stuff is in the plumbing section at hardware section.
