sump question...

I'm going to be setting up a new 75 gallon tank and I am going to use a 20 long for a sump. I do not plan on having a refugium so would it be ok to just have one set of baffles? I am going to be using a msx that works best in 8-10 inches of water so I got my first baffle cut at 9 inches so that my skimmer section will always have 9 inches of water. After that I would continue with the bubble trap and then leave the rest of the sump open without any other baffles. Will this work out ok? And should the baffles all be the same size? Meaning all 9 inches.
Thanks

Yeah, one set of baffles is just fine. You probably want the baffle on the return section side a bit lower to help prevent the cascading water from causing lots of bubbles.

Cool, would 7inches work on the return side?

I'd make it about half the height of the other one.

You would go all the way down to 4.5? Wouldn't I want more than that amount of water in that part of the sump? Does it just not matter because its forcing the bubbles up so the fact that the water would be higher than that baffle not really relevant?
Thanks
