sump question

I am putting my sump together, and I have a double overflow in a 75 gallon tank. My question is once I get everything going and the water is flowing down to the sump and the return pump in putting it back in the aquarium and everything is going good; what do I do when the electric shuts off? Will it automatically start working again just like I had it? How do you set it up in case of electric failure? Thanks in advance

yes, the U-tubes are siphoned, so when teh elctricity shuts off the return pump will stop pumping water to the tank so the opverflow will quite flowing water, but the siphon will not be broken (should not)
once the pump starts pumping water then the flow will continue again.
as long as both ends of the tube stay submerged in water yuo wil, be good to go.
I'd test it by pulling the plug so you can see how it works
