Sump rated for 75 Gallons used on 90 Gallon tank?

Can a sump rated for 75 Gallons be used on 90 Gallon tank? Its a pro-clear aquatics sump. I am setting up a 90 Gallon tank with a single built in opverflow. I need a sump and found this one for cheap. Can I use it? I have 4 Korailia powerheads for extra flow.. Can anyone give me any suggestions

Sump size isn't that critical so it should be fine, generally the larger the better though

As long as the sump has enough volume to prevent it fro, overflowing when the pump is turned off, or in the event of a power outage you should be fine.

make your own sump. Cheaper and super easy to do. You want to have the biggest sump you can. Will your sump keep your skimmer, heater, return pump, anything else?

I did think about doing that... but I think its a really good deal, comes with two pumps, one for skimmer, one for return.. it comes with a built in/removable skimmer, and a nice timer all for under 100 bucks... what do you think? all used...I did go to Home Depot and check out thier Acrylic pieces to make my own sump.. I was thinking about doing a 20H or 29H... I watched a few videos on Youtube about how to make... seams easy enough...

you can build one out of an aquarium. IMO, the equipment that comes with 'all in one' sumps is sub-par. so the $100 piece of equipment you want to buy will end up costing you more in the long run b/c you'll end up upgrading the skimmers and pumps. plus, building your own sump allows you to personalize it to your system.

I built my own sump out of a 30g breeder and acrylic.
tank- $60
silicone-$5
acrylic-$12 ( and they cut it)

i've heard using acrylic baffles on a glass tank is a bit of a crap shoot. i guess acrylic doesnt stick to glass all that well. i've seen people use cutting boards as baffles. you can get glass cut at lowes for a few bucks.

If you can cut the panels out of glass, your sump will hold up much better than it will with acrylic. My current sump is built with acrylic and I have had to rebuild once already and I just noticed one of my baffles is starting to pop loose again. DIY sumps are by far the way to go because you can customize them around your equipment and needs.

building ur own is the way to go but if u still want to use the pro clear sump it will be fine...im actually using a pro clear sump rated for 75g on my 90g tank and it works great.....

What size pump do you have with your 90 gallon tank with sump?? Do you have any pictures of that sump???
