I posted this in new hobbyist forum and was told it would be better to post here.
Ok, I dumped the fluval 305 and sea clone skimmer I bought, and had my tank drilled and an overflow put in. I have a 29 gal sump and a 55 tank. It is overkill but I want the oom to upgrade my take later. So the pump is for a 110 the skimmer for a 110 and so on. I have the basics on the plumbing but would like to see a good diagram. I know I have to bypass some of the water back directly to the sump and the rest to the tank. Also how much water should be in the sump? Should it have 10- 15 gal. or moe or less? Any help with thr diags and questions would be helpful. Thx in advance.
