Sump...

Alright, curently I have a 10g. I thought to my self, "sumps seem good... i want one..."
I have 32x30x17 inches to use. Now, I'm having two delemas...
1) I don't even know what the recomended size is.(although i was invisioning a 20g sump/fuge.)
2) Could i use the sump/ fuge as a QT?

1) Size is not what a sump is,it is a place to hold stuf skimmer,fuge,ex l/r pump.
2) no QT are for keeping trbl fish out of DT and to give med,s sump/fuge is a filter.
The sump/fuge works with DT and QA with out.
