Hi,
Im building a sump/refugium for my 70 gallon to be reef and Ive got a bunch of questions. The tank I plan on useing is a glass 30 gallon tall under the tank. What type of overflow should I buy. I want one in the 1000 gph range so I dont need so many powerheads in the tank. Im thinking a cpr brand, ur opinons? The tubing should be vynal right, the stuff they use in aquarium syphons. What should the diameter for the tubing be? Ok so once the tubing gets down under the tank I plan to have it empty out into a plastic tubeawear container taped to the rim of the tank. Inside the plasic container will be sponges and some carbon. Once its through that it will empty out into the first sump section where my coral life super skimmer (65 gallon rated) will skim etc. What type of material should I use for the sections between the skimmer, refugium and pump? How thick? should there be a hole for it or something? so once the waters through the first section it will go through the refugium. Its gonna have a .5-4 inch sand bed, live rock rubble calurpa and probable a 40-70 watt light. Then after that the water will go into the pump section and be pumped back up into the overflow and into the tank. IS there anything im missing? How do I assemble this? Can i see some picks of ur equitment to see what mine should look like? Also how much should this cost total? What is the best type of brands equitment need some names. Thanks for reading all this look forword to ur help,oh and sorry about the mis spellings.
