i have a 46 g reef with med- high flow, lots of lps and soft corals that are doing great, i was wondering if it would be a good idea to get a sun coral. Any advice on sun corals? how much/often shoud you feed it?

Once each day...but they don't like the light and should be placed in the shade...in a cave or under a large overhang.

i'd feed at least 3x a week, but the more you feed them, the better they do, so daily would be great. you need to spot feed each polyp, so it's definitely a labor of love.
the cool thing is that you can "train" them to open at a certain time based on your feeding schedule. that way, you can see them open while you're home.

One of my favorite corals.
What I do is place the cut-off top of a 2 liter bottle over it, then use a turkey baster to squirt some thawed food in there and they can chow down without anyone stealing it and most if not all polyps get some.
