feed it, feed it, and feed it some more! I would take mine completly out of the tank, into a tupperware bowl and target feed every single polyp at least every week or the skin on the stalk would rise up. Notice the past tense in what I did. To much work for me, but a beautiful coral none-the-less. Yours looks good too. Just so you know... Light will not hurt it, but it does not need it either, so placing it in the light is not a necessity.

Tizzo said what I was going to say and that is too feed it but I never thought of taking my dendro from the tank but that is an excellent idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! due to the fight I have to deal with concerning the shrimp. I will take 'em out tomorrow!!!!!!! for sure

Damn....why didn't I think of that!
Most people I think don't do it that way but use the cup method but the cup isn't working for me because of the location of my coral and the fact the shrimp attack when I remove the cup.

I just purchased a sun coral not too long ago and it took several days for it to start to really open up.
Spot feeding is important and to further diffuse the light during the day to forcxe it to open more during the day I ended up putting a piece of live rock oover the top (like building a bridge) and keeping the coral under it.
