Hey everybody long time no see. Anywho, my question is about sun coral because there is one at my Lfs and I am getting it, but I am in dire need of
Help. How do you feed these thing-I know you have to feed each polyp. What do you feed them? How often? How much flow do they need? Should they put in the direction of the flow? Also, how do you acclimate them? Sorry to bombarded everyone with all these questions thanks!

I had one awhile back that lasted me a couple years, they are amazing looking corals.
What I did, and I hear alot of people do, was cut the top of a 2 liter soda bottle. To feed I would first feed my tank, which would usually cause the sun coral to open up. Then cover the sun coral with the soda bottle top and squirt mysis or brine shimp over the open polyps. I;d leave the soda bottle cover over it until all the polyps were closed around the food.
The biggest problem I had was even after the polyps closed my cleaner shrimp, crabs, fish, etc. would try to steal the food.
The other problem I had was algae would build up around the sun coral in the sand due to the increased nutrients from feeding.
After a few days of feeding the coral would open up at the slightest hint of food in the tank.
I would imagine good flow around the sun coral would be helpful (when you aren't spot feeding it) to help it filter feed between meals and to keep algae away.
