sunburst anthias

Hey all was wondering if more than one sunburst can be kept in the same aquarium,i just got one and i was told only one per tank,did not sound too right too me,thanks in advance.

I love anthias, but have never kept these. I have read that you can keep a group of at least 3 in a large tank. Most anthias do very well in groups.

Sunburst anthias are my favorite type of anthias =).
Keeping anthias in groups is fine but as mentioned, you will need a large aquarium since even groups will fight in confined spaces.
Additionally, anthias usually go in groups of a single, dominant male and several females.

I love the sunburst anthias, but I've heard people have had difficulty keeping them long-term. Keep us posted on how it's doing for you.

thanks for the replys,so far ,the anthias is out of hiding,which is a good sign,but is not eating yet,stomach does look fat not pinched or anything,but he is curoius when i feed the tank,so i hope soon he will eat,will keep u posted.

Try cyclpoeeze to get him started eating. They are well known for starving, just refuse to eat anything. If it will eat anything it will be cyclopeze.

These are great fish. Most Anthias need to group. The Sunburst does not. They can group as jueviniles. They do get large. I have read similar advice about keeping one to a tank or two/three to a very large tank. Good luck
