Sunday afternoon camera practice

The boyfriend spent the day watching college basketball (damn you, March Madness!), so I entertained myself by taking pics of my tank. It was either that or doing laundry!
Comments and constructive criticism on the photography or critters is welcomed.

really nice pics and tank. What is the third picture? Are those Blastos or a brain...? They look very plump and nice!

Those are blastos.
Everything has plumped up over the past few days and I think it may have to do with the unseasonably warm temps here (we hit 89 degrees over the weekend) that raised my tank temp to around 80. I think everything is happier than when it was around 75-76 in the tank. I know I'm happier when it's warm out!

What camera are you using. Do you use any software to enhance your pictures?

I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ7. You think my pics are enhanced?! Wow, thanks--I'm flattered!
I don't think I could properly use enhancing software even if I had it! All I use is basic cropping and resizing features on my photo editing program.

Hi ! The reason I asked about enhancing your pics is because they already look great. I am new to this forum and still learning how ot post my pics. This is new to me but, I have a lot of experience working with software. If you get a chance, work on a picture you can aford to ruin. It does not have to be a fish pic. Try using contrast in your pictures. Sometimes you may need to brighten them also. If you practice using just these two things you will not believe the difference you will see in your already great pictures. Hope you are able to do this. Good luck!

The two things I just told you about, contrast and brightness can be found on any software you have that has anything to so with digital photos.

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely play around with those features.
