Does anyone own one of these units? How does it compare with Tek and Aquactinic units?
Thanks,

I just ordered one and PerfectDark has it already. He likes it and I was definitely sold on it because of the individual reflectors, plus the built-in timers, all for a great price.

Admittedly they are not as good as the teks or aquatinics, they are not driven by ice cap ballasts nor are the individual reflectors parabolic.
Having said that, for the money IMO they are great, they have a version of individual reflectors where they contoured one reflector to wrap around each individual bulb. So, while not a "true" individual reflector IMO its close, and still higer intensity than a single reflector where the light is allowed to bounce off other bulbs and get lost in space. 2 individual timers for your actinics and daylight bulbs and moonlight leds that are on a photo eye. So when the lights go off they automatically come on unless you switch them off.

and with that sundial what are you able to host? I will be running that along with another of my light fixtures (I have two more) I will use either my PC 2x96w (1 10k light, 1 T3 actinic) or my Nova Extreme 2 bulb (1 39w T5HO and 1 10k T5HO) so I'm hoping running a combo of the sundial and another will allow me to host a few things.

That all depends on what size tank its going on. If it was a 45 gal hex, then you are a lot more limited than if the tank is a 30 gal std. If I had my choice to run 2 set ups, of the 2 you listed my choice would be the 2 bulb nova's you have. Def a better set up than the PC's.

i like the color now, i had to get used to it. i would switch out the 460's for some good 420's. the fixture doesnt get hot at all.i was kind of upset at first, because the day the package came i found a 150 watt current halide pendant, on the same site i got the sundial, for $130. so i spent the day convincing myself i wouldnt like the halide anyway, and that i got the better fixture. So i suppose after missing that deal the sundial never stood a chance. but i like it now and am thinking about overdriving it with icecap ballasts.

i have an open brain, blue green and orange ricordea's, zoanthids, a derasa clam, trumpet, green star polyps,an am in the market for some digitatas and acros. Everything i currently have is thriving. i have one of those infrared thermometers and the fixture never gets above 120*F anywhere ( i also have a 4.5 inch fan on it just in case.) so far i love it

well if you have clam surviving I'm convinced. I was debating between the Nova Sundial, the 6 bulb pro, or a tek5... I really thought I would need 6 bulbs to host those types of things. Maybe the sundial is for me after all.
That w/ the addition of the Lunars and timers.... Guess I'm going for it unless someone convinces me quickly :)
BTW I'm using a 50g (36x18x18) this light going to still work as well? On a side note I do have a Nova Extreme 2 bulb T5HO running... that will run alongside the sundial, perhaps these two will be able to host all my needs?

I only have 24 inches of bulb over my tank. The tank is 30 inches. If you have a 36 inch tank and 36 inch bulb you will have more bulb covering the tank. You should be fine, I had my doubts as to the power of the fixture. But now im convinced.

Lose the stock lamps, very low intensity, at least for the 460's. The 420 will be even worse. Get some ATI Blue Plus or Giesemann Actinic Plus to replace the blues. The 10K's had good PAR but there is no telling how well they will last.
