I have a question- when ever someone says super glue a coral to a rock or a rock to another rock do they really mean, super glue? I'm talking about the super glue that you can get at walmart or an home omprovement store or does it have to be a special kind of glue? And can it be applied directly to the coral, willl it hurt it?

Yes, it is regular super glue, the gel kind seems to work best. Usually you glue LPS/SPS frags on the bottom(underside, skeleton) where the coral isn't growing. Soft corals is usually best to lightly tie to rock until it adheres it self to the rock. As far as softies I've glued some mushrooms before and it worked. Still best to let them attach themselves. Definately not a fragging expert, but have tried it a bunch and it pretty much works.
