hey i read on a website you can use just normal super glue to secure corals to rock is that true cause my lfs which has great corals all come attached to little rock so i can glue rock to rock
is this correct?

another question about glueing rock to rock...lets say i buy coral that is already on a little piece of rock....i will put the glue on the bottom of the rock and then what? can i stick the glue down in the water and then attatch or do i need to pull a piece already in the tank out into the air to glue it?

Stick your hand and superglue gel into the water and put a good amount on the rock that you want to place the frag. Then put a good amount on the frag itself which is out of the water. The gel will form a "skin" but still be wet underneath. Then squish the glue that is on the frag onto the glue in the tank and hold for 15-20 seconds or so.

Would super glueing a coral polyp for example directly to a rock hurt the polyp?

No, it will not hurt the polyp.

i would wanna glue it on one of my hermits shells it would look sweet

Won't hurt the polyp but it may not hold because they tend to slime and the glue does not hold. Try it and if it does not work put the polyp in a small containe with some sand or rubble and leave for a week in the tank and it should attach itself.

tried that for a month did not work i got some stubber shrooms...

You can try glueing (sp?) it, but it might just slime its self off..

i had the same problem and what i did was take the shroom frags and put them on a peice of rock and then covered them with a peaice of mesh. used a ruberband just to keep the mesh in place and they atached in about a week. not sure but worked great for me.
