Its speed up just a little listen to the beat of the music . And watch the timer its not that much but its still moving faster than normal.

I definitely think it's altered in some way. There are way too many points where Mario comes close enough to the flames, hammers or plants that he would die.
Still kinda cool, but unless I see someone do this in person, I say it's somewhat fake.

I thought the same thing, cheat codes make it so much easier.

Don't be haters. You can hit plants at certain angles as you saw demonstrated without being effected.
The only "cheat code" I remember for the original nintendo was up [down up down left right left right B A Start] for Contra!!!!

What about the GameSharks( I think that is what they were called) you could use? Not a hater, just cheaters s uk. And who is to say it isn't played on a retro game pack on a newer system than the original Nintendo??? Just my opinion of course.

The music sounds about right to me...
and don't underestimate... um... i guess people who really like video games.
I saw this band once that played the music to mega-man as one of the band members played the game. It was pretty neat. He beat the game in like 15 minutes, but that was a live performance.

i got almost did it in 7 mins once, back in my prime. i died about 5 secs from the end. that kid is insane.
