I get surgery thursday!! Yay :scared: .. Its on my mouth. They are going to cut the roof of my mouth to get a baby eye tooth.Put a bracket on the adult eye tooth and attach a chain to that and pull it through over a course of 6 months.!! I will miss thursday and friday of school.. At least I can do some stuff to my tank

ouch.........but look at the bright side.......Dakota Fanning is going through the same thing. You will like the "sleepy" stuff though. :joy:

Good luck! as one who has had 14 oral surgeries may I recommend a fine selection of pudding, baby food fruits and mashed potatoes?
Loll about a bit and take the pain meds!!

oral surgery sucks!!, 3 weeks ago i had my wisdom teeth pulled, they had to cut through my gums, grab the teeth and rip them out of my jaw. it took me 2 1/2 weeks to get better because i got dry socket, the hole from the tooth got infected and they had to medicate it. all i ate was snackpack pudding and jello. i went into the surgery weighing 160. after the 2 1/2 weeks when it was finally over i was only 148. so i try to look at the brightside.

this thread gives me the chills!!! the thought of surgery on my mouth makes me wanna pass out... even though it is a necessary evil i hate the dentist... bi-yearly cleanings arent bad, but i cant stand getting work done on my teeth!!!

lol.. Thanks everyone for the stories and giving me hope.. I look on the bright side.. Miss 2 days of school and I get to stay here on swf and screw around with my tank.. Thanks you all

ive had several friends have the same surgery. they said it wasnt that bad. I had to have 8 teeth pulled at once when i was in 7th grade, 4 were wisdom teeth. Yours shouldnt be that bad. I did lose like 10 pounds in a week though

yea, maybe you'll lose weight like me and jaknjil, make progress on your tank, and you get 2 days off school.
but still... not worth it, oral surgery hurts like a *****, hope yours goes well

Yea.. I was reading a magazine like 1 month ago that ppl feel everything in the anestisia and they cant move cause its just there nerves i guess so they cant tell them to stop!! So they go threw the pain..Hope that dosent happen to me!
