** SURVEY: What type of filter you use ?

Hello fellow reefers,
I was just wondering what type of filter you use, what brand, and why you think the one you have is better. And also, how long have you been using it.

well lets start with my 40 gallon xenia farm tank,
35 gallon rubbermaid sump with a berlin turbo skimmer. thats all except for about 50 pounds of lr.
29gallon reef,
eco-system40 hang on refugium, fluval 304 with chemi-pure, and about 40 pounds of lr.
16gallon reef,
aqua-clear 300 power filter with chemi-pure, and about 15-20 pounds of lr.

I have been using Berlin protein skimmers for several years now I think it has been 6 years and i love them I never had any problems with them and they seem to do the job. As for filters I use americal wet dry filters(That is what my lfs could get for me). I also run a Rainbow Life Guard uv Sterilizer in line.

I have a 5 inch DSB in my sump and 60 pounds of live rock in my main tank, thats it. Iwill be buying a skimmer soon, maybe a prism, seaclone or a berlin xl or something similar.
