Will a Clown be okay to put in a 55-gal tank with the follow
1) Volitan Lionfish
2) Dogface puffer
3) Yellow Tang
4) Royal Gramma
If the Clown is introduce first with the Royal?
Is there a certain Clown that I need to get...like an'mater clown or something that big?

The volitan and puffer can eat the clown and gramma if they're small. You'd need to get fish as big or bigger than the volitan and puffer. A big maroon or tomato would both be good choices. But the puffer and volitan would continue to grow and would reach over 1'.
Also, a 55g is too small for a yellow tang IMO. 75g minimum.

but all the fish at the local pet store that I buy everything has dogface and a lion and they are a little bit smaller thatn the gold stripe clown that I have my eye on. If i get the clown first and the gamma's, then get the puffer and the lion?

Good thing the maroon is bigger, but what about the gramma? They only get about 3". And as mentioned, 55g is too small for a fullgrown puffer, it'll need a bigger home once it reaches 4-4.5" IMO.
