Anyone here working with pipefish? I'm completely new to SW so won't be making a move towards a fish for a LONG time, but am researching the pipefish species potentially available. Some are FW, some brackish, some marine. Obviously will be selecting a hardier species. Has anyone worked with the FW or brackish species? Are brackish conditions harder to maintain than SW? What about the FW species? I'd want a species only or pipe community tank, probably very simple FOWLR. Actually, I live right on the coast of SE AK within range of the northern bay pipefish (Syngnathus leptorhynchus) and was also wondering if anyone uses seawater exchanges to provide a variety of non-cultivated live food.
